Life Of Impact

We read and hear of great men and women that impacted their generation. We judge them on the actions they took or refused to take as a result so many have been adjudged by us before facing the judgment of God. If I may ask, have you wandered what would be said concerning your own tenure in the place you are right now or when your time is up and you are called into eternity? Acts 13:36a says “For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep…” A lot had passed through this world unnoticed and unfruitful to the Kingdom of God. Everyone born of God must not only seek the will of God but must equally make an effort to fulfill it; the will of God is to cover the earth with His glory and righteousness. Thus, there is no glory in just living a life without touching the lives of others. No man was created to just fill a void or brought into this world devoid of purpose. Everything about our God is purposeful neither does He waste His resources; just take a look at nature! Ephesians 4:7 says “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” That’s heavy! This means the grace to walk and impact all around you with the gift inside of you has been given to you. Only when this is done can a man be said to be living a fulfilling life. Now, the question is: are you fulfilled with the way you are living? Jesus said freely you have received and freely you must give. If we are not living a life of impact then Jesus is not our example because Jesus lived all His life on earth impacting the lives of men. Acts 10:38 – “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.” What are the needs that you are meeting? Please note, the anointing upon you is for impact, God has never given us anything just for us even though the gifting of God is first to save us, we must reach out to save others. The Bible calls David the man after the heart of God because he lived for something. You are a failure if at the end of your stay in the very place where you are now, no life was touched. Do you know you are the helper someone has been waiting for, an answer to someone’s prayer, the end to the trouble in the life of somebody? Arise and fulfill your destiny in God. You have not been sent to the place you are right now to waste the resources of God. The joy of impact is that men who lived or are living like the account of David in Acts 13:36 don’t die but rather sleep to wake up in eternity with Christ. The Psalmist said in Psalm 39:4 “Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.” Always remember that life will end someday but testimonies will remain. What will yours be? Live a life of impact! God bless you.
