That Provision

      The desire of God is to bless us; and He has made provisions for all we need to live a successful life on this earth. For us to be able to access these provisions as at when we need them, we must draw near to Him: “Let us have confidence, then, and approach God’s throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it” (Hebrews 4:16, GNB). For us to draw near, we must obey every Word that proceeds from Him. We cannot draw near Him if we are walking in disobedience no matter how much we try to do so, because He is Holy: “But your iniquities have built barriers between you and your God, and your sins have made Him hide His face from you so that He does not listen” (Isaiah 59:2). As children of God, we were chosen purposely to obey Him in all things: “You were chosen according to the purpose of God the Father and were made holy people by His Spirit to obey Jesus Christ and be purified by His blood” (1Peter 1:2, GNB).
