Meanwhile his brother that allegedly committed the sin with her will be prayed for by the pastors secretly so as not to fall into the hands of manipulating sisters again’. As incredulous as this may sound, this terrible double standard in the Church is becoming more and more apparent. So many are quick to dish out judgments to people they perceive are wrong and their actions are below what they term as right or wrong. At the same time, they are quick to lower those same standards and even make excuses for themselves or their loved ones that fall short of these same standards.          The news is filled with incredulous and horrific stories that leave a bad taste in one’s mouth. It has become a norm to hear of killings, rape and the likes on a daily basis and the perpetrators believe they have a right to do what they had done. A few section of the society have become the prosecutor, jury, judge and executioner. The larger sections of the society look away, by so doing, approving the dastardly acts of a few. Some years ago in our country, a slogan was formed to instill a sense of belonging and decency upon the citizens. The slogan reads, good people, great nation! I wonder how the proponents of the slogan will feel now with so many horrific acts perpetrated and the government agencies appearing to collude with the perpetrators by their silence and unfruitful (in)actions.      There is a general laissez-faire wind blowing across the world. People, especially those in authority think natural laws can be changed or modified to suit the prevailing ‘mood’ of the times; unknown to them, they are pushing and expanding the agenda of darkness over the earth and its inhabitants. The Church is not left out in this terrible trend. In fact proponents of this terrible move are mostly found in the Church. When confronted, they argue that they are protecting and propagating the Gospel. As if the Owner of the Gospel has lost touch on how to protect and propagate it! This terrible error have caused so many within the Church to lose focus; setting their sights on men rather than on God! Teachings that are contrary to God’s word are continually churned out and very few are the wiser to the antics of these towers of Babel preachers.        When God created man and other living things on the earth, He gave an almost similar mandate to both (Genesis 1:22&24). To man He added an instruction which encapsulates the mission of man: “…And subdue it. Rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky and every creature that crawls on the earth” (Genesis 1:28b). However, by the time we read chapter three of the Book, what man was to subdue, subdued him. Thus, fear set in and man was unable to rule effectively. This fear led man on a path away from God, resulting in God wiping out all living things including man except for the family of Noah. Is it just me, or does it seem like people today are way too angry? There have been three highly publicized incidents of road rage in our nation in the past seven days, including one on a New Orleans street that killed former NFL player Will Smith. Last week in Houston, two women began pulling each other's hair and punching each other in the parking lot of the Houston Zoo. They were fighting over a parking space. And then there's the embarrassing video, now going viral, of a woman screaming at an American Airlines ticket agent on March 24 because her flight to Florida from New York  was delayed. She felt she had the right to verbally assault the airline employee because she had been waiting a year to take her children on a Disney cruise. I don't know what triggered this sudden volcanic eruption of national anger. Is it too much coffee? Are people not getting enough sleep?        So many of our female folk are doing excellently well in the work place, business and politics but failing in their relationships and interrelationships. This failing have a way of unraveling the success attained in the other areas. For this reason, there’s one thing the female needs at this time to be a success in all spheres, and that is ‘good sense’. It doesn’t matter whether she is young, old, single, married, mother or whatever appendages that are given out there. To be a true success, we must carry out the full intention of God for our lives if we agree that we truly worship the Almighty God. Sisters, this cannot be achieved without us applying good sense because so many have become foolish as mothers, wives, fiancés, bosses and supervisors.
