As We Match Into Year 2012…

It is tragic to watch children of God draw plans and resolutions for God on how He will bless them come 2012; so many have even started fretting concerning them. They have drawn up long plans and resolutions for the Lord, hoping that He would bless it. I can hear you argue you are doing this because you want to please the Lord. A good thing, but remember, Hebrews 11:6 clearly states that He rewards those who seek Him diligently, who come to Him. You don’t go into your mind to dig up ways you think is best to please Him come 2012, He must show you or your works will become idols detestable to Him! Romans 8:14 states clearly that only those led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. If I may ask, who led you to draw up those plans and resolutions for the year 2012? Over the years you have done this ‘good thing’, how has it prospered in your hands? Remember, a good thing is not necessarily a godly thing! God has no problem blessing you in the year 2012 if He tarries. It had been written long ago and settled concerning you before you were even born. “Then the Lord said to Abram ‘know this for certain: your offspring will be strangers in a land that does not belong to them; they will be enslaved and oppressed 400 years. However, I will judge the nation they serve and afterwards they will go out with many possessions.’” Genesis 15: 13-14. Because Abraham is the father of us all, all the blessings and promises that were given to him are equally ours. Therefore, know for sure that all promises and blessings that the Lord had spoken concerning you will come to pass, none will fail because He gave His sure word; however, note this: God has a goal in mind! This same scripture in Acts 7:7, the Lord added that they will not only come out, they will come out to worship Him. By Revelation 5:10 it was clearer: “You made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth.” Know for certain that when the Lord gave His covenant to Abraham it was sealed with blood and it cannot be reversed or changed. The Bible says in Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man who lies, or a son of man who changes His mind. Does He speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?” The Lord kept His promise, He brought them out with His mighty Hand and He took them through wilderness experiences in order to teach them about Himself. Without their say so, God delivered them not because they had been faithful to Him but because a promise had been made by God and nothing will change it. When the fullness of time came, He did it. However, He took them through unfamiliar and tremendous experiences that were designed to make them know Him. He puts it more clearly in Exodus 19:4-6: “You have seen what I did to the Egyptians and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Me. Now if you will listen to Me and carefully keep My covenant you will be My own possession out of all the peoples although all the earth is Mine; and you will be My Kingdom of Priests and My holy nation…” This is the intention of God for saving them and bringing them out of the land of slavery. This intention of God has not changed! The blessing covenant of your life had been written long ago and sealed with the blood of Christ. The goal of God is not just to make you great until you become very great. Rather He wants you to become His priest, a holy people, belonging to Him to display His might, glory, power holiness and faithfulness upon the face of the earth! As we enter into the year 2012, your desire should be how you would follow and please Him. This you cannot plan before hand, but you will search out on a daily basis and He will show you how to accomplish this DAILY. Remember, His Word is a lamp for your feet and a light on your path (Psalm 119:105)! Only a step will be shown you at a time so you do not get carried away and run out on Him!!! God bless you.

You Are What Matters Most To Jesus Christ

"When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; Walk [habitually] before Me [with integrity, knowing that you are always in My presence], and be blameless and complete [in obedience to Me]" (Genesis 17:1, AMP).        A while back, I overheard a conversation between two young men; both were wondering how a person can be and remain holy in a world that daily encourages you to exhibit and enjoy every self-indulgent pleasure one desires. Of course, they knew the Scripture in Psalm 119:9-11, which describes how a young man can keep his way pure, but they feel it is increasingly becoming difficult to discern the way of the Lord from the world system. To them, many Pastors and children of God have been won over by the kingdom of darkness to subvert the principles of God as written in the Bible.           They were not wrong, in light of some of the teaching coming from the pulpits! The above ...

Finding True Love

From the beginning of time, God Almighty has sought various means of communicating His thoughts and desires to humanity. Through the very things He has created around us, He clearly reveals His divine nature and our predestined purposes as the object of His love to those who care enough to pay attention.  His goal has always been to set men free from all that limits them from experiencing an abundant life. There is no doubt that the present life as we know it, with all its hurts, pains and heartbreak was never meant to be this way; indeed the enemy has done this.         Friends, if He created the earth with hidden and precious treasures, then how much more you? The enemy, on the other hand, has worked overtime to create things that bind, blind, limit, and ultimately stop us from fulfilling our God-given destinies. His most successful strategies are those which are subtle and appeal to our fleshly desires, just as...

The Perverted Love Of St Valentine's Day

We live in a world where those who suppress the truth have the loudest voices. They are more persuasive in their arguments because their arguments sound logical and well-reasoned. However, the fact that an argument is loud and logical does not necessarily mean it is the truth. At the same time, the fact that an argument is loud and logical does not mean it is of God. So many claim they do not care where it originates from, but they agree with and have bought into its message. If that is your stance, then you need to hear this because what you believe and have bought into is a lie. Remember, ignorance is not bliss but a dangerous position to occupy as many ‘ignorants’ abound in hell!        The argument for celebrating St. Valentine's Day is loud and sounds logical but it is not the truth, nor is it of God! It is not of God because the love that Jesus Christ portrays carries within it the responsibility of self-sacrifice whilst that o...
