Before You Move, Hear This…2

Have you been in a situation when you feel as if you have gotten to the end of your rope and it looks like you are not getting the responses you ought to be getting from Heaven considering the grave situation you are in? At this point, many advise us to take decisions based on the facts on ground! Armed with these facts, so many go on to take decisions that eventually alienate or push them completely out of the purposes of God for their lives. Naomi made a decision to return back to Bethlehem with her two daughter in-laws when she heard God had responded to their cries. However, when faced with the daunting prospects for their future Orpah one of the daughters in law chose to remain with her people and her gods. Ruth on the other hand forsook everything to follow her mother in-law back to a strange land. Ruth looked beyond her precarious situation and saw the God of Israel as a better God to serve than the gods of Moab. Despite the seemingly plenty and security she could find if she remains in Moab, she determinedly followed and clung to Naomi but in the real sense she was actually pledging allegiance to the God she had heard of and seen in Naomi. Friend, Ruth left all and followed without looking back and the Lord honored her for it. No matter how daunting the situations we find ourselves, we must determinedly “approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.” Hebrews 4:16. It is a sad thing, when we fail in the face of battle, but when we turn to Him; He sends us help even from unlikely sources and places. The Bible equally tells us in Romans 8:28 “…all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.” It therefore follows that the events that happened in the lives of Naomi and Ruth were orchestrated by the Lord towards the fulfilment of His purpose for their lives. It was in the plan of God for Ruth to marry Boaz and become the grandmother of king David and one in the lineage of Christ! Praise God that they flowed in the purpose of God for their lives. Friend, when things turn topsy-turvy around you, it is not for you to pull your hair out in worrying and panicking thus, walking away from His purpose for you, but to return back to the Lord to seek out His instruction for you at that point in time. Even if you can’t understand what is happening, be determined like Ruth to obey forsaking all else. Ruth like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob had no idea where she was going or what was in store for her, but she was fully convinced that this God is faithful and is able to take care of all that concerns her. For every person that walked in this truth, they were truly honored by the Lord. The lives of people like Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Rahab, Ruth, Esther, Daniel, Mary, Paul and so many, the Gospel of Christ could not have been complete without their exploits. Friend, the reason why so many are not believing the gospel you preach is because they are yet to see the exploits of this Life you preach in yours. It is time to serve Jesus Christ not because of what we want done but because of Who He is. He is INDEED the Son of God and He will come through for you as He did for Ruth and Naomi! God bless you.

You Are What Matters Most To Jesus Christ

"When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; Walk [habitually] before Me [with integrity, knowing that you are always in My presence], and be blameless and complete [in obedience to Me]" (Genesis 17:1, AMP).        A while back, I overheard a conversation between two young men; both were wondering how a person can be and remain holy in a world that daily encourages you to exhibit and enjoy every self-indulgent pleasure one desires. Of course, they knew the Scripture in Psalm 119:9-11, which describes how a young man can keep his way pure, but they feel it is increasingly becoming difficult to discern the way of the Lord from the world system. To them, many Pastors and children of God have been won over by the kingdom of darkness to subvert the principles of God as written in the Bible.           They were not wrong, in light of some of the teaching coming from the pulpits! The above ...

Finding True Love

From the beginning of time, God Almighty has sought various means of communicating His thoughts and desires to humanity. Through the very things He has created around us, He clearly reveals His divine nature and our predestined purposes as the object of His love to those who care enough to pay attention.  His goal has always been to set men free from all that limits them from experiencing an abundant life. There is no doubt that the present life as we know it, with all its hurts, pains and heartbreak was never meant to be this way; indeed the enemy has done this.         Friends, if He created the earth with hidden and precious treasures, then how much more you? The enemy, on the other hand, has worked overtime to create things that bind, blind, limit, and ultimately stop us from fulfilling our God-given destinies. His most successful strategies are those which are subtle and appeal to our fleshly desires, just as...

The Perverted Love Of St Valentine's Day

We live in a world where those who suppress the truth have the loudest voices. They are more persuasive in their arguments because their arguments sound logical and well-reasoned. However, the fact that an argument is loud and logical does not necessarily mean it is the truth. At the same time, the fact that an argument is loud and logical does not mean it is of God. So many claim they do not care where it originates from, but they agree with and have bought into its message. If that is your stance, then you need to hear this because what you believe and have bought into is a lie. Remember, ignorance is not bliss but a dangerous position to occupy as many ‘ignorants’ abound in hell!        The argument for celebrating St. Valentine's Day is loud and sounds logical but it is not the truth, nor is it of God! It is not of God because the love that Jesus Christ portrays carries within it the responsibility of self-sacrifice whilst that o...
