This
millennial is a great one to be living in because we are seeing the Scriptures literary come to life; this is the millennial that will usher in the coming
of the Lord Jesus Christ. When asked by His Disciples about His coming, He gave
markers that will happen; the truth is most of the markers have happened and
are happening in our time (Luke 21:1-33). For the naysayers, He warned that “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My
words will never pass away” (Luke 21:33). This is the affirmation that the
world will indeed come to an end as He has said and His coming is sure and
imminent as He has promised. For this reason, the enemy had stepped up its
workings in distracting the people so as to get weighed down with the business
of life. When people are weighed down with the business of life like in the
days of Noah, they are not mindful of the things of God; eventually they lose
sight of them.
One
of the strategies the enemy has deployed to cause the sons of God to be
distracted is by spreading erroneous messages through false Brethren that have
wormed themselves into the midst of the true Brethren. The messages have a
semblance of truth but the reality is that it ties and enslaves the people with
bogus rules and regulations (Galatians 2:4-5). These messages carry dos and don’ts
that are actually human philosophies and traditions that are incapable of
dealing with man’s fleshly indulgence (Colossians 2:20-23). God is looking for
people like Paul that will be spiritually alert to these falsehoods and will
protect the purity of the gospel from these terrible contamination: “But we did not yield in submission to these
people for even an hour, so that the truth of the gospel would remain for you”
(Galatians 2:5). As a result of this great charge, we must endure hardship in
the face of such blatant wind carrying errors and deceit. We have to stand our
ground so that we will not be blown away by these strange teachings and
doctrines that seek to stop us from achieving the purpose for which we were
placed on earth. Christ told us clearly that: “By your endurance gain your lives” (Luke 21:19). Without enduring
but allowing these terrible winds to sweep us from our solid footing in Christ,
we will lose our lives in the end when He appears. Therefore, the grace to
endure and remain standing so that we will be able to stand in His Presence
unashamed is released to us in Jesus Christ name. God bless you!
