How Far Can Your Light Go?

      With the rapid growth of technology and ‘chameleonic’ teaching of God’s word, it seems godlessness is slowly taking over the hearts of children of God. Things that ought to make us ashamed are explained away using the very same Scriptures that condemn such acts. If we claim that because of political correctness there is nothing much we can do to stem the tide of evil in the work space (this is still not an excuse), what about our ‘own space’? The space that we have in our homes, the Church, the community and even on the internet, how have we utilized our space? As children of God, we have a mandate to shine our light so that people will see and give glory to God in Heaven (Matthew 5:16). No one is arguing that you have the light or not. As a child of God, it is presumed that you carry the light of God; beloved, the question is, how far can your light go? Jesus told us that we are the light of the world: we shouldn’t hide our light nor allow it to be put out. We are light for a reason! “For look, darkness covers the earth, and total darkness the peoples…” (Isaiah 60:2a). We have allowed political correctness, the desire to belong in a social dark world to make us either hide our light or dim it. No wonder, so many are confused in their marriages, jobs, businesses and life in general. When Paul met THE Light of the world, he became blind! He needed to become blind to the ‘light’ of darkness so He could see the TRUE LIGHT! From the moment his eyes were opened by Ananias, his light shone and is still shining to this day and even to the end of time. 
      Beloved, since you claim to carry this light, how far has it gone? Has it opened the eyes of men that are blind to the things of God, or it had remained shuttered so that we can be accepted in the political, economic and social space? Thick darkness has covered the world and is on the increase on a daily basis. Our temples are slowly becoming places that have semblances of godliness but the power long since gone; we claim to be children of God but riddled with self and celebration of self. No wonder lives are the way they are; because those that ought to shine their light to lead many out of the dungeons and cells of darkness are busy hiding their light under the table in order to remain relevant in the affairs of this world. Those that ought to call out this evil attitude are busy twisting the Scriptures like chameleons to make it impossible for the people to return to the true light and shine as they have been mandated. 
       Beloved, the coming of Christ is HERE! Enough of playing to the gallery and dancing ‘palongo’ to the tunes of the enemy, it is time to truly shine our light beyond us to the world we have been sent to because the days are truly evil and are short. As we shine our light in truth on a daily basis, it is able to go far into the furthest parts of the earth till He comes: “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). The Perfect Day is almost upon us, therefore “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee” (Isaiah 60:1). You have no excuse, the glory of God is risen upon you, therefore shine the light of God in  and on you for the world to see, so they can come into the light out of the dungeons of the world. May the Lord open your eyes more to see this truth and to walk in it in Jesus Christ name. God bless you.
