Looking at the prevailing moral conditions in our present
world, I sometimes wonder how Apostle Paul, Joseph, Daniel, Noah and Job would
have lived if they found themselves here. Would they have kept the faith by
standing their ground in the knowledge of God? Would they have lost sight of
Him that called them?
These are times that are getting more and more difficult
to stand for the truth without any coloration. If one is not discerning or a
true follower of Christ, one would be easily swayed by the erroneous teachings
coming out of some pulpits today. These teachings tell you how to live a good
life on earth presently without balancing it with messages to prepare you for
the eternity to come! There is an eternity of either of two destinations that
will follow: Heaven or Hell. It is here on earth, while living, one will make
the decision of which of the destinations to go to after death. There are no
in-betweens! Unfortunately, most messages these days don’t sound these warnings
enough! When Jesus Christ walked the earth, He started His message with a
warning: “From then on Jesus began to
preach, ‘Repent, because the Kingdom of heaven has come near’” (Matthew
4:17). Then ended it with an instruction for His followers: “Then Jesus came near and said to them, ‘All
authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore, and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have
commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age’”
(Matthew 28:18-20). Meaning, every teaching concerning Him must be to lead men
back to His feet – making them disciples.
The reason so many that have being in
the faith are suddenly questioning their faith and renouncing their beliefs is
because the initial message and instruction of Christ have been tampered with
by their teachers and leaders. This position has made so many children of God powerless
against the winds of strange and deviant teachings blowing in from hell. Sadly,
under the watch of the Church, with many in the Church becoming enablers, the
world system is not only pushing deviant lifestyles down our throats, but are
weaponizing same to take down the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ. This is happening because so many leaders in the Church have refused to
raise men that will follow Christ to the end. Teaching a counterfeit gospel of
God that is good and excuses deviant behaviors; a teaching that expounds the
love of God without balancing it with the fear of God.
They raise men to look
back at what they had and marry such deviant lifestyles to the life Christ had
called them to live. As a result, such discover it is easy to return to their
vomit. No wonder so many pride themselves of having ‘painless transitions’ from
the world system. Such never gave up anything when they came into the Lord.
They only changed locations but continued their old lifestyles. One cannot blame them as they were told to
come in with their baggage instead of dropping them off at the foot of the
Cross. Many dragged their baggage of worldliness, lust and immorality and the
likes with them for many years as ‘born again’ sons of God. When these decide
to return to where they originally came from, we are astounded! It was easy for
them to return because they never dropped the baggage to begin with!
So many
ministers will claim they need to carefully deal with the congregation so they don’t
leave. They forgot the word of God that says: “And that slave who knew his master’s will and didn’t prepare himself
or do it will be severely beaten. But the one who did not know and did things
deserving of blows will be beaten lightly. Much will be required of everyone
who has been given much. And even more will be expected of the one who has been
entrusted with more” (Luke 12:47-48). On that DAY there will be no excuse
as each man will receive his just reward.
Beloved, it is time to keep a single
and focused eye upon the Lord: “Therefore,
dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard, so that you are
not led away by the error of the immoral and fall from your own stability. But
grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be
the glory both now and the day of eternity. Amen” (2Peter 3:17-18). God
bless you.
