Don’t Give Up!

Life is a constant battle. From the moment we drew our first breath to when we will draw our last, we are in a war! A young man told me a couple of days ago that he was tired of the fight and was thinking of ending it. ‘Why should life always be a battle’, he asked. He asked further, ‘if it all ends in death, why not quicken it along and end it all, once and for all?’ This is an extremely faulty logic peddled by the devil. Inasmuch as this present life is a constant battle in an unending war, eternity on the other hand, is based on the outcome of the war fought while in the flesh! It is then prudent to be mindful how we fight here. Why, you may ask.
From Genesis chapter 3, the battle line was drawn between man and the serpent: “I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He will strike your head and you will strike his heel” (Genesis 3:15).  And Revelation 12 made it more clear why the battle is more fierce for the sons of God: “So the dragon was furious with the woman and left to wage war against the rest of her offspring – those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony about Jesus” (Revelation 12:17). Our greatest consolation however, is that our God has taken the battle on Himself. All we are to do (on our part) is to trust Him and stand our ground: “Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us” (Romans 8:37, AMP). That is why we are encouraged to “Fight the good fight of the faith, lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned…” (1Timothy 6:12a).
Beloved, you were called into this fierce war, not because you are more special than the rest but by the Grace and love of God; not to lose either, because it has been fought and won on your behalf. All you have to do is believe and claim the victory in faith and walk in it! That is why we have been encouraged to put on the whole armor of God with which to defeat the enemy (Ephesians 6). The reason we still feel the terrible heat of the struggle and fight is because we are yet to let go and walk by faith in the victory in the finished work of Christ. Don’t be confused. Everything is being orchestrated by God to make you come out victorious: “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Understand that God did not call you to serve Him in vain. He called you to take your stand for Him against the wiles and wickedness of the devil! Beloved, God knows your strength is small, that is why He declared He is your Strength and Refuge, an ever Present Help in times of trouble. He had never failed those that trusted in Him, He is not about to start failing now. David trusted Him and we saw how He kept David from a battle that would have taken his life – the war that killed King Saul and his sons. It looked as if the Philistine kings rejected him, but God orchestrated it, to not only save his life but to equally save the lives of his family that unknown to him, had been kidnapped by the Amalekites.
Beloved, as we walk with the Lord He shows us the good fights to fight and protects and prevents us from the bad fights! He is the Master Strategist, a Mighty Man of war and the LORD is His name: “You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord [Who is] with you. O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you” (2Chronicles 20:17, AMP). Don’t be alarmed by the situation you are in, STAND your ground in obedience in Him and watch Him come through for you! You will not fail in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! God bless you!

The Quarry Site Experience

Have you ever visited a quarry site and considered the process the rocks are subjected to before they become dressed stones to be used? If the stones could talk they will have a story to tell about their experiences.  As children of God we go through diverse experiences and we wonder if we will indeed survive them. Sometimes we wonder why our gracious and compassionate Father would allow such to befall us considering who we are in Him and what we are doing in His vineyard.  The Scripture that should readily come to our minds in such circumstances is God’s assurance when He said: “I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire and the flame will not burn you ” (Isaiah 43:2). This Scripture assures us that through the experiences of flames and waters, God is always by our side to see us through.  Thus, it is necessary for us to go through the...

Daily Walk With The LORD

As we await the imminent return of the LORD Jesus Christ, we enter a time of great exposure and blessing. All that had been hidden will be revealed, all that had been a lie will be exposed, and those who can discern these things and make adjustments to their lives will be greatly blessed in this time!        As the Church Age draws to a close, we see and understand the Scriptures more clearly by the Help of the Holy Spirit, as we see Scriptures literary play out before our eyes. These are the times we must strengthen our resolve to serve Him more dearly and follow Him more closely. Failure to do this is to fall into all manner of errors orchestrated by the devil through his agents to derail as many from the path of righteousness and eternal life in Christ Jesus.         Many strange but carefully crafted teachings are flooding the pulpits and airwaves to distract, confuse and steal the hearts of children of God from...

But You Did Not Learn Christ In This Way

I remember meeting a man of God in his office after the Sunday Services in his Church. I, like many others that day needed a few minutes with him. I was there at the instruction of the LORD to deliver a message. As we were talking, one of his Church workers came in and gave him a note. His face lit up, and he was very excited. I saw that there were sets of numbers written. I thought the numbers represented those who gave their lives to Christ, because many came out during the Altar Call to give and rededicate their lives to the LORD Jesus Christ. No! Apparently, they represent the number of people in attendance at each of the three services with the corresponding money collections realised.         They were not concerned about the souls that came out hungry for God! I was saddened by their excitement. They were not excited about the souls that came into the Kingdom of God; rather, they were rejoicing about their egos, ranks and bank a...
