And Into This We Have Been Called…

A young lady cried out the other day: ‘what exactly is my purpose at this time? I mean, I know what my purpose overall is, but at this present time, going through this suffering, what exactly is the point; what am I supposed to do in all of this suffering?’ The anguish in her voice punctuated every syllable that came out of her lips. I was torn in my heart as I could feel the raw pain that came from her heart. I, in-turn turned to ask the Lord what I should say to her as I was lost for words and I could not find the right words to say to console her. Then I heard this statement in my spirit: “Into this you have been called”

There are so many among us, like the young lady, going through a phase in their lives that look never ending. You may wonder why the word, ‘phase’. It is a phase because it is temporary and will pass away once it has run its course. Yes, it is running a course in order to work out and produce what God has set it out to do in your life. You might ask why. It is to train you, to make you grow and mature into the person He had purposed you to be: “Therefore we do not become discouraged [spiritless, disappointed, or afraid]. Though our outer self is [progressively] wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day by day. For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]” (2 Corinthians 4:16-17, AMP)!

This reassures us that no matter what we may be going through, do not buy into the lie that you are forsaken or God is unaware of what you are going through. He is with you every step of the way and you are coming out victorious: “…Just as [in His love] He chose us in Christ [actually selected us for Himself as His own] before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy [that is, consecrated, set apart for Him, purpose-driven] and blameless in His sight…” (Ephesians 1:4, AMP). Beloved, that issue before you is momentary (it carries an expiry date), and it is fading away. Our response and way to behave in such times has been given to us so that we will come out on the other side of the tunnel wiser and richer in God: “For [as a believer] you have been called for this purpose, since Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you may follow in His footsteps. He committed not sin, nor was deceit ever found in His mouth. While being reviled and insulted, He did not revile or insult in return; while suffering, He made no threats [of vengeance], but kept entrusting Himself to Him Who judges fairly (1 Peter 2:21-23, AMP).

Beloved, that business, promotion, increase, opportunity that you desire is just a prayer of faith away. It costs Him nothing to give you all these and more! But His plan for you is for you to grow, mature and be like Him! Trust Him by yielding all to Him! May the Lord grant you the Grace to remain strong in Him as He works out all that concerns you, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! God Bless you!

The Quarry Site Experience

Have you ever visited a quarry site and considered the process the rocks are subjected to before they become dressed stones to be used? If the stones could talk they will have a story to tell about their experiences.  As children of God we go through diverse experiences and we wonder if we will indeed survive them. Sometimes we wonder why our gracious and compassionate Father would allow such to befall us considering who we are in Him and what we are doing in His vineyard.  The Scripture that should readily come to our minds in such circumstances is God’s assurance when He said: “I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire and the flame will not burn you ” (Isaiah 43:2). This Scripture assures us that through the experiences of flames and waters, God is always by our side to see us through.  Thus, it is necessary for us to go through the...

Are You A True Disciple? Part 1

This decade opened with very dire straits for mankind, as many people around the world woke up to a world that stood still as each nation shut their borders, homes and institutions shutting their doors. If many had been told this scenario could happen a couple of decades ago, one would say it was crazily impossible. But it did happen! Many lives and livelihoods were destroyed, and many institutions and lifestyles, including the Church, were affected. As terrible as the times were and still are, it is exposing the hearts and state of many 'sons of God'!         Many wondered aloud, 'What does the devil want for causing all this havoc?' And some went further to ask, 'What does God want?' The answer to both questions is 'Man' (male and female)! It is a battle between the Kingdom of God and darkness for the soul of man. As a result, man is being prepared both by God and the devil for eternity with either!         ...

It Is Time To Raise A Cry For Nigeria!

"The voice said, “Cry out!” And he said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is grass, And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, Because the breath of the Lord blows upon it; Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:6-8).         Listening to a brother detailing how Nigeria will be great again because it was foretold decades ago, I quieted down in my spirit to listen to him. According to him, the prophecies of old say that Nigeria will become a beacon of God's light to the rest of the world as they carry His Word to the rest of the world, especially in Africa. He enumerated the many qualities of Nigeria, especially the spiritual significance of her position within the continent of Africa. She will be used by God to trigger the last move of revival in the last days, he continued.         I listened attentively,...
