Wisdom...Seeking The Right Way With God

If you live in the big cities, you see people rushing to and from somewhere. There is always an urgency in the air to want to do things quickly. It is alright because it is the time that we are in: The return of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent! And the hours of the day are increasingly getting shorter to attain what we set out to do each day. As a result, many set out for ways or paths to get the result they desire faster. In the process, many get hurt.
As the world hurtles towards the end, if one desires to live well in this world according to the dictates of God, one must have wisdom: "Wisdom will extend your life, making every year more fruitful than the one before" (Proverbs 9:11 TPT). This Wisdom is not craftiness or sharpness. All these qualities describe another kind of wisdom, which the Bible describes as the wisdom of the world: "Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil" (James 3:15-16 HCSB).
We currently live in a world where the ideals that wise people should strive for have become foolishness. The wise are becoming foolish, and the foolish are seemingly wise. In the house of the Lord that you would expect to find people walk in wisdom, many are foolish because the wisdom they profess to carry or teach is the wisdom of the world.
The wisdom of the world teaches people to always want to have more, to hate present circumstances, to strive, and always look out for more! As these ideals may sound good, they carry within them seeds of jealousy, lack of contentment, competitive spirit, and the like. The reason many cry and pray for more is not because they readily have what they want to spend it on but they desire to prove to themselves and the next person they are better!
Don't be deceived Beloved, to navigate these murky waters of the world successfully, we need wisdom. Without Him, we will not make it, as far as Heaven is concerned! The Bible tells us: "The starting point for acquiring wisdom is to be consumed with awe as you worship Yahweh. To receive the revelation of the Holy One, you must come to the one who has living-understanding" (Proverbs 9:10 TPT). According to this Version, the starting point to getting the Wisdom that comes from God is to be consumed with AWE for the Almighty. This awe is FEAR: A reverential regard for God! The worship being talked about here is not only those ten/fifteen minutes we sing slow 'mournful sounding' songs with eyes closed to the Lord, but to live a life that is in reverence to God! In all that we do, it must start from and end in the FEAR OF GOD! Then we will have WISDOM! The Bible says concerning Cornelius: "There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always" (Acts 10:1-2 NKJV). For this reason, God gave Himself to him and his household.
The second part of Proverbs 9:10 says, to know the Lord by revelation, one must come to the One Who has 'living-understanding'! It then follows that on the day each of us stands before the Judge of the whole universe, only the wise will make it. Why? Because only the wise will carry Wisdom! And Wisdom is Jesus Christ! No person will have an excuse for being foolish or carrying the wisdom of the world.
Beloved, check yourself and make sure the Wisdom in you is not the one of this earth that is embroiled with jealousy and competitiveness. If we are not sure, wisdom invites us: "Whoever wants to know me and receive my wisdom, come and dine at my table and drink of my wine. Lay aside your simple thoughts and leave your paths behind. Agree with my ways, live in my truth, and you will find righteousness” (Proverbs 9:4-6 TPT).
Beloved the table is set, all you have to do is accept the invitation. This Wisdom is of and from God Almighty: "But the wisdom from above is always pure, filled with peace, considerate and teachable. It is filled with love and never displays prejudice or hypocrisy in any form and it always bears the beautiful harvest of righteousness! Good seeds of wisdom’s fruit will be planted with peaceful acts by those who cherish making peace" (James 3:17-18 TPT). May your heart be filled with the reverential fear of God as you seek and live for Him daily, in Jesus Christ name, Amen! God bless you!
