As You Ponder On That Decision...

The way things are going in the world, it calls for caution and vigilance on our part as children of God! What would have been unthinkable in the Body of Christ a couple of decades ago, is becoming tolerable and acceptable among sons of God. The truth is being discarded, and in some instances twisted to fit the lifestyles and narratives of those propagating them.
One major weapon they are using now to distort the truth is to change the vocabulary. Knowing fully well that a vocabulary change weakens the meaning and gravity of the word or statement! The untruth is now calling the Truth untruth! In our quest to fit into the system and be accepted by those around us, many have bought into these lies and started living them.
As children of God, we must constantly remind ourselves, we are not of the world and its systems. And the Grace for this is assured when Jesus prayed for us: "They are not of the world (worldly, belonging to the world), [just] as I am not of the world" (John 17:16, AMPC). It is true we live in the world, but we must not allow the world and its systems blind us or make us too comfortable to understand that we are strangers here, just passing through.
Today, many are taught to accept what the world accepts in order to have fame, influence and affluence. Such had forgotten the Word of God that says: "But He said to them, You are the ones who declare yourselves just and upright before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted and highly thought of among men is detestable and abhorrent (an abomination) in the sight of God" (Luke 16:15, AMPC).
Abraham, as a prime example, though he was living in Canaanland, he knew he was not a part of the people of the land. He did not partake in their customs or traditions. When it was time for his son Isaac to take a wife, Abraham made his chief servant swear not to marry any of the girls of the inhabitants for his son. Rather, he should return to his (Abraham's) family, his former country to take a wife for his son Isaac. He went further to warn that his son Isaac must not even return to the home country to live there (Genesis 24:1-9).
In the New Testament, we were also warned: "Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness" (2 Corinthians 6:14, NLT)? This is not to tell us to not relate with people. If that were the case, we would have to leave the earth altogether, rather a caution in developing alliances and partnerships!
Beloved, in our quest to live comfortably and be accepted, many of us have made alliances with people we have no business being yoked with. In the end, many are hurt. Beloved, what is that decision you are considering? Have you taken it back to the Lord to show you the way to go? He promised: "I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you" (Psalm 32:8, AMPC).
Don't take that decision because you believe there is no alternative, or it would push you ahead if you do it the way the world system does it. That decision may just push you into a gilded cage! No matter how shiny it is, it is still a CAGE! Take the issue to the Lord and let Him direct your path! May the Lord open your eyes and your ears to hear what He is saying to you in these treacherous times, in Jesus Christ name, Amen! God bless you.
