"As the king passed by, the prophet called out to the king and said, “Your servant went out into the middle of the battle, and behold, a man turned aside and brought a man to me and said, ‘Guard this man; if for any reason he is missing, then your life shall be required for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.’ But while your servant was busy here and there, he [escaped and] was gone.” And the king of Israel said to him, “Such is your own judgment (verdict); you have determined it” (1 Kings 20:39-40, AMP).
The news and happenings around the world indicate to a child of God that these are difficult times that are hard to bear and hard to live with. In fact, the more the Word of God spreads, the more evil and dangerous we see the world. The terrifying part is the more the Church grows, the more we see the 'increase' of the charlatans masquerading as teachers of God's Word. These carry and teach dangerous teachings designed to draw the hearts of the people further away from God.
These men sprinkle the Word of God with lies; making it near impossible to detect the lie! "For certain people have crept in unnoticed [just as if they were sneaking in by a side door]. They are ungodly persons whose condemnation was predicted long ago, for they distort the grace of our God into decadence and immoral freedom [viewing it as an opportunity to do whatever they want], and deny and disown our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ" (Jude 1:4, AMP). This did not happen by chance.
When children of God, especially teachers of God's Word started deviating from the undiluted truth of God's Word, the door was opened for the merchants of these lies to come in and practice their evil enterprise! What could have happened to the teachers if they didn't see the entrance of these merchants of lies into the Church of God? Many couldn't see it because an inordinate desire for wealth, fame and relevance crept into the Church.
Many of the anointed teachers felt it was God's new move to transfer the wealth of the Gentiles to the Church. Which in turn will enable her to 'grow' the Kingdom to every nook and cranny of the world, even as their bank accounts and followership grow, or so they think! Thus, a race for relevance, wealth and fame began in the Church of God! The things that were meant to be chased out and destroyed in the Church were excused and welcomed, thus granting them the room to infect the whole Body: "Your boasting [over the supposed spirituality of your church] is not good [indeed, it is vulgar and inappropriate]. Do you not know that [just] a little leaven ferments the whole batch [of dough, just as a little sin corrupts a person or an entire church]" (1 Corinthians 5:6, AMP)?
These Teachers sought to institute a standard for what the growth of the Kingdom of God is! A Kingdom that is measured by the amount of money it has garnered from the people, the numerous Church structures and branches, and, of course, the multitude that come into their services and or spaces. These were the measurements by which they measured the success of any Ministry. Beloved, something is very wrong!
Holiness and righteousness are exchanged for wealth, influence and well-being: the celebration of SELF. The dictum of the Church that ought to be 'To love God with all your heart and soul, and to love your neighbour as yourself' became 'Do whatever you can to make it in this world, as long as you do it in the Church'! Giving rise to a self-centred Church and self-centred congregations; everything they do begins and ends with mammon!
These men know they have deviated from the truth of God's Word; hence, they mask their evil appetites by seeking to rewrite the teachings of the Gospel of Christ through erroneous and evil teaching! Their motivation is not the Holy Spirit but their stomachs and evil appetites: "For there are many, of whom I have often told you, and now tell you even with tears, who live as enemies of the cross of Christ [rejecting and opposing His way of salvation], whose fate is destruction, whose god is their belly [their worldly appetite, their sensuality, their vanity], and whose glory is in their shame—who focus their mind on earthly and temporal things" (Philippians 3:18-19, AMP).
The enemy, we as sons of the Most High God were meant to kill, many celebrate and embrace as the true devotion to God: "So kill (deaden, deprive of power) the evil desire lurking in your members [those animal impulses and all that is earthly in you that is employed in sin]: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, for that is idolatry (the deifying of self and other created things instead of God)" (Colossians 3:5, AMPC).
Beloved, take a hard look at yourself in the mirror; if what you see does not reflect the Selflessness of Christ, it is time to repent before it is too late. Many of these 'teachers' know they are not true and they know where they are going! Beloved, do you? This is the time, like never before, we must act like the Berean Christians: check what we have been taught in the light of God's Word! Study and learn God's Word for yourself so you can grow and mature in the things of God and not be tossed up and down by the sensual and motivational teachings of the charlatans that have invaded the Church! Understand this, Jesus Christ is coming back to give to every man what their works deserve! Remain steadfast and true in Him, so you will not be ashamed when He comes! God bless you!
