"So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.” Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! As the Coming of the LORD draws ever closer, there is an increase in dryness, apathy and preoccupation with the world and its treasures in the hearts and minds of many children of God. Looking around our Nation (Nigeria), one would realise that things are not as they should be. The realities on the ground give the impression that the institutions that ought to regulate the lives of the citizens have stopped working and the people manning them have left their duty posts.

The realities on the ground give the impression that the institutions that ought to regulate the lives of the citizens have stopped working and the people manning them have left their duty posts.
The government of the day is alienated from the people in its policies and governance. In fact, it looks like the citizens are living on one planet speaking a language, and the government are on another planet, speaking a different language. Evil is rampant and on the increase daily. Life is hard and increasingly so for the man on the street. It is easy to blame everything on a rogue and insensitive government. But as a follower of Christ, through the Scriptures, we know the blame lies squarely at the feet of the Church.
The Church of God in a Nation is the thermostat of the Nation. The way the Church goes, so does the Nation. What does it mean? The Church stands as a standard against the imaginations and floods of hell. If the heat of hell is prevailing, then the Church is being pushed back. What this means is that when sin increases, there is an increase and proliferation of evil in the land.
The Nation boasts of mega churches, in some cases, you see a Church in every street. Not empty, but filled with people. Why do we not see the impact in the spirit realm to check the wickedness of agents of darkness in Society? Something is not right! The Bible tells us: "For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch" (Isaiah 62:1, ESV).
Has it come into the hearts of the people of God in the Nation that the darkness of hunger, insecurity, death, etc, over the Nation is not without the LORD’S permission? In the Bible, every Nation that stands on the side of God, He goes to war for them. Do these issues we are currently facing not show that we are not on the same side with Him? In His Word, He promised He will never be silent or be quiet until our right standing with Him shines out for all to see, and the fact that we are His burns brightly. True, individually, people may be blessed, but the number of people displaced and killed daily shows a Nation that is under siege by hell.
If we claim we have powerful, influential ministers of God known in the world residing in the country, then we must wake up and take our positions upon the walls of the Country, before we wake up one day and the Country's configuration is gone! Brother, Sister, you may feel this may not concern you, true. But understand that the wickedness blowing across this nation knows no bounds, class, creed or ethnicity. It is time for each one who is named with the name of the Lord to stand up and check whose DNA resides in them.
If the DNA you carry is of God, you should be alarmed at the evil that is overrunning the country and not be a part of it! Because the DNA you carry reflects on your society and the Nation at large. But since there is no outrage, rather sons of God are looking for ways to accommodate and flourish in the evil that pervades the land. Since that is mostly the case, it is important to ask, is the DNA you carry of God or of your Papa's, Mama's, Churches and Ministries? As men increase in influence and wealth within the Church and Ministries so does darkness increase upon the land. This is an anomaly!
When we are preoccupied with wealth, position and influences, rather than what is in the heart of God Almighty, then such people have been captured by pride, arrogance and wickedness. Pride and arrogance take no prisoners, and no one sees it coming, and to do wickedly by turning a blind eye to the evil going on around them, becomes second nature to them. Remember, the LORD told us He resists the proud (James 4:6). Does that not show that the happenings in the Country are as a result of the pride and arrogance of the Church in Nigeria? You may say my Church or Ministry is not part of it. Thank God for you, but you know the Scripture that says when one part of the Body is sick it affects the whole body (1 Corinthians 12:26)?
If there was ever a time we should pray like Daniel for our Country it is NOW! A prayer from the place of repentance like Daniel and the Ninevites of old, and not as hypocrites. For the men of God and Ministers of the Gospel of Christ, we cannot eat from the table of God and then eat from the table of demons, and turn around to want to cast them out! No wonder it looks as if the more people pray, the more difficult it becomes in the land.
God is looking for people He will send to do this work on behalf of a sick Nation. Not the ones that come to Him declaring they will go for Him, and turn around to send themselves. Isaiah, in reply to God's Question, did not say "Here I am, I will go", but rather he said "Here I am, Send me"! So many, truly answered the call, but embarked on the journey without God's commission on 'how and what', hence they do not see any reason why they should not sit with the enemy and eat with him.
Their excuse is that they will change him by changing the culture. These ones forget that the devil and his agents have a deadly hatred for mankind, and that is their culture! They would rather see mankind suffer and die; look at the government of the day! For this reason, the devil has been capturing territories from these so-called "I will go" ministers and their followers and burning them down through unbridled sin, depravity and suffering. Sadly, they are unable to stop him and his agents because they have his articles with them. How do you defeat the devil when like Achan, you have his articles in your tents?!
Beloved, God has promised us in His Word: "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him..." (2 Chronicles 16:9a, ESV). His eyes are searching for people in Nigeria that will hear and obey Him in humility: "But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at My word" (Isaiah 66:2b, ESV).
We cannot delay for the Bible tells us what happens to a continuously stubborn people: "He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy" (Proverbs 29:1). Beloved, will you be that one person that will stand in the gap for our Nation in repentance (Jonah 3:5-10)? Will you answer the question of God, and wait for Him to send you?
God bless you as you turn your heart and mind back to the LORD.
LORD Jesus, let there be a wave of repentance across the Nation as we fall at Your feet to ask for forgiveness and mercy for our Nation Nigeria. Hear and answer us in Your mercy and graciousness and restore us back to Yourself, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
