God Loves You!

God loves us just the way we are but He refuses to leave us that way! Wow! What a profound thought! Friend, He will not leave you the way He found you because He wants you to be like Him. That is why the Bible tells us in Philippians 2:5 to have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. God’s great desire for each of us is captured in His love for us just the way we are. If we think His love for us would be stronger if our faith increases, we are wrong. If you think His love would be deeper for you if your thoughts and actions were right, we are wrong again. We must not confuse God’s love with the love of people. The love humans have for each other increases with performance and decreases with mistakes. It is not so with God’s love. He loves us right where we are. Study the chances extended to king Ahab (the seventh most wicked king that ever ruled Israel) and Haman to mention a few.

Luke 18:7 says God will always give what is right to His people who cry to Him night and day and He will not be slow to answer because He loves them. Then you might wonder why He waits until you are broke to answer you. Why does He wait until the sickness progresses to death’s door before He answers? We do not know the answers to these and many more questions. But we know this: the BEST is what He will do for us! Just as He told His disciples in John 9:1-5, that the things we go through are allowed so that the POWER of God could be seen in our lives. No matter how hopeless a situation is before He stepped in, all was done for His glory, no man or spirit will lay claim to it. You might be going through some stuff and wondering when He will show up, if ever. Don’t be troubled, He is working out the best for you and only He will take the glory. Friend, He is very much aware of what you are going through. His desire is that you will depend totally on Him and He will release the grace for you to go through it. So that at the end of the tunnel, you would declare “if God had not being on my side, I would have been consumed”.

Friend, always remember that though we hear nothing, He is speaking. Though we see nothing, He is working. With God there are no accidents. Every incident we encounter is intended by Heaven to bring us closer to Him. He is GOD and He loves us… Do we BELIEVE?

The Quarry Site Experience

Have you ever visited a quarry site and considered the process the rocks are subjected to before they become dressed stones to be used? If the stones could talk they will have a story to tell about their experiences.  As children of God we go through diverse experiences and we wonder if we will indeed survive them. Sometimes we wonder why our gracious and compassionate Father would allow such to befall us considering who we are in Him and what we are doing in His vineyard.  The Scripture that should readily come to our minds in such circumstances is God’s assurance when He said: “I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire and the flame will not burn you ” (Isaiah 43:2). This Scripture assures us that through the experiences of flames and waters, God is always by our side to see us through.  Thus, it is necessary for us to go through the...

But You Did Not Learn Christ In This Way

I remember meeting a man of God in his office after the Sunday Services in his Church. I, like many others that day needed a few minutes with him. I was there at the instruction of the LORD to deliver a message. As we were talking, one of his Church workers came in and gave him a note. His face lit up, and he was very excited. I saw that there were sets of numbers written. I thought the numbers represented those who gave their lives to Christ, because many came out during the Altar Call to give and rededicate their lives to the LORD Jesus Christ. No! Apparently, they represent the number of people in attendance at each of the three services with the corresponding money collections realised.         They were not concerned about the souls that came out hungry for God! I was saddened by their excitement. They were not excited about the souls that came into the Kingdom of God; rather, they were rejoicing about their egos, ranks and bank a...

...And His Name Was Nabal

We live in a world that has short-term memory. The memory life span of many is so short, that mistakes and circumstances that brought them sorrow are repeated without a thought to the fact that what they are doing they had done before with dire consequences. As a result of this attitude, many have grown more wilful towards the things of God. One of the signs of the end time, according to 2 Timothy 3, is people being ungrateful. Being ungrateful means not showing gratitude for help, gifts or kindness they received; a feeling of entitlement to whatever they think they have received.         Being ungrateful is a state of mind that believes that the good things that happen to them is deserving, and they do not see any reason to be thankful for them. So was the case of a man named Nabal (which means 'Fool') in the Bible. He was a harsh and evil man in his dealings, yet a very wealthy man in the region he lived in. From the account of his l...
