Do
you trust the Lord to see you through these times? No matter what you may be
going through, I believe that you are here for such times as this so that the
awesome power of God may be showcased in your life. We are indeed in times when
it is difficult to stand and remain on the truth we profess. Especially in our
climes where corruption has become the order of the day, it is difficult to differentiate
between what people stand against and what they stand for. So many claim to
stand against corruption but given half the opportunity the people they
criticize have, they would do worse on that same seat. It is for a fact that we
are living in the last days the Bible talked about in 2Timothy3:1-9. But these
are the times we must stand and remain standing in our unwavering trust in God.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 125:1-2 – “Those who trust in the Lord are like
Mount Zion. It cannot be shaken; it remains forever. Jerusalem – the mountains
surround her. And the Lord surrounds His people, both now and forever.” In the
face of all the ups and downs of this world, this is reassuring and welcoming
news. It does not matter what you are going through, you just remain trusting Him and you are assured of His towering Presence, mercy, love, grace and
faithfulness. He didn't just stop there He equally promised us in verse 3: “The
scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous,
so that the righteous will not apply their hands to injustice.” Friend is
someone oppressing you because of their wealth, influence or position? He tells us that their right of rulership symbolized
by the ‘scepter’ has been terminated. It will no longer rest or remain on what
has been legally and legitimately allotted to you by your Father in Heaven. God
has moved the tables, changed chairs and changed the music tempo on your
behalf. All that is required of you is to continue to trust Him and you will
see the awesome delivering Arm of the Lord. When the sons of Reuben, Gad and
half of the tribe of Manasseh in 1Chronicles 5:18-22 with just an army
numbering 44,760 warriors waged war against four nations they won a resounding
victory. Why? Because they cried out to the Lord, put their trust in Him and He
helped them. The Bible went on to say the reason they won was because they trusted Him; for that singular reason, the battle became the Lord’s. When we
put our trust in Him, all our battles becomes His! No more sorrowful and mournful
looks because of the scepter of the wicked; be assured that God is capable of
taking care of you because He surrounds you. All that concerns you concerns
Him. He that the Heavens cannot contain, even the earth is His footstool; at
His voice mountains quake and skip like rams – He says He surrounds you! What
an awesome thought! Praise God! It is indeed good and beneficial for us to TRUST
Him! God bless you as you put your Trust in Him.
Have you ever visited a quarry site and considered the process the rocks are subjected to before they become dressed stones to be used? If the stones could talk they will have a story to tell about their experiences. As children of God we go through diverse experiences and we wonder if we will indeed survive them. Sometimes we wonder why our gracious and compassionate Father would allow such to befall us considering who we are in Him and what we are doing in His vineyard. The Scripture that should readily come to our minds in such circumstances is God’s assurance when He said: “I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire and the flame will not burn you ” (Isaiah 43:2). This Scripture assures us that through the experiences of flames and waters, God is always by our side to see us through. Thus, it is necessary for us to go through the...
