So many children of God carry offences in their
hearts because they feel they ought to occupy a position or be ordained to a
particular office and they are not. Consequently, many have left the place of
cover, training and primary assignments to places that will accommodate the
fleshly intentions of their hearts. They forget Hebrews 5:4 that tells us “No one takes this honor on himself;
instead, a person is called by God, just as Aaron was.” It is not for the
individual to demand this honor because he/she feels they deserve it. The House
of God is not a political association or the market place where people are
rewarded for their loyalty or services! One cannot help but wonder: when they
have such rewards here for their ‘works’, what other reward do they expect when
they stand before the King of kings? You don’t need any man to validate you or
the call of God upon your life. Each person on earth has a purpose and a
responsibility entrusted to them on earth; none of us sneaked into the earth. Thus, everyone will give an account
of how they carried out the tasks given to them. The Lord made this clear when
He declared to Jeremiah “I chose you
before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart before you were born. I
appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5. When you were
chosen, consecrated and appointed your parents were not even aware. It was not
dependent on your parents’ wishes or the wishes of any human; the prerogative
was solely the Lord’s. The physical ordination you then go through is actually
meant to call forth what God Himself had called you to be and do before you
were born: not based on the feelings of anyone. Thus, your functionality is not
dependent on the anointing oil poured on your head. The physical ordination is
actually done to announce to the world what He had called you to be. Jesus
Christ went through the baptism to fulfill all righteousness and the Voice of
God we heard was for our own benefit! He already had His marching orders in
hand! There are so many that are Pastors, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers in
our midst that have not been formally ordained nor come near a formal pulpit in
front of a congregation. Some of them have found the purpose of their lives and
have started operating in it quietly with tremendous results without the
fanfare of ordination ‘celebrations’. Indeed, Heaven is going to be filled with
surprises! So many calls have been corrupted and exchanged at the point of
these ‘celebrations’. Friend that which you have heard God say do... do! When
Moses, John the Baptist, Paul were called did you read that they went to validate the call from ‘the
elders’? Mind you, there were elders then but they carried out the instructions
of God to the letter. The reason you are not functioning properly is because
you got your validation from ‘the elders’ and they gave you diplomatic
instructions and counsels that negates the instructions of God. Please, don’t misunderstand
this, I am not advocating that you should disrespect the elders placed before
you by the Lord, but you must go according to the pattern and instructions
given to you by the Lord just as Moses, Samuel, David, John the Baptist, Paul, Timothy did and
recorded great results in their ministries. Seek out God’s instruction for you
at this time and carry them out according to the pattern you have been shown.
The boldness to arise in the might and strength of God to carry out the
instructions of God is released to you in Jesus Christ name.
Have you ever visited a quarry site and considered the process the rocks are subjected to before they become dressed stones to be used? If the stones could talk they will have a story to tell about their experiences. As children of God we go through diverse experiences and we wonder if we will indeed survive them. Sometimes we wonder why our gracious and compassionate Father would allow such to befall us considering who we are in Him and what we are doing in His vineyard. The Scripture that should readily come to our minds in such circumstances is God’s assurance when He said: “I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire and the flame will not burn you ” (Isaiah 43:2). This Scripture assures us that through the experiences of flames and waters, God is always by our side to see us through. Thus, it is necessary for us to go through the...
Whether or not am a leader in a particular group is not what really matters. what matters is my impart and contributions in that group.. rather than fight for positions, let's learn to seek the real thing which is SOUL WINNING and CHURCH GROWTH
ReplyDeleteVery true. My sincere prayer is that the children of God will wake up from their slumber and realise that there is no time. It is so disheartening to see a brother or sister dissilusioned not because of lack but as a result of not being appreciated enough in the church. I believe strongly in my heart that the Lord has sparked off a revival of His Word and brethren will but thirst for the sincere word of God that is able to save their souls and not watered down versions that creates inordinate desires in them. The Church of God will indeed grow as we prepare for the BrideGroom - our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
