Walking in God’s Confidence

Several times as children of God we are buffeted by the storms of life that we wonder if God can really hear us. The pain gets so devastating that we consider throwing in the towel at the slightest provocation at this point. Some of us declare that this was not what they expected or sign for, thus, they look for every way to bail out.  Friend, there will always be storms whether you are in Christ or not. The difference and consolation we have is that in Christ, He is with us all the way.  He promised in His word that He would never leave nor forsake us. The Bible clearly tells us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12) but against wicked spirits in high places. They inhabit certain situations to torment us but if we fail to understand and see that God had promised not to leave nor forsake us, there is the tendency to become a victim. Are you buffeted by debts, your promotion withheld, you have done everything but cannot find a decent and befitting job? Don’t be discouraged God is at work on your behalf. You might argue that you had been praying for years and nothing seem to be coming out of it. It is time to take the offence! Our God takes the offence but His children are always playing defense. God has gone on the offensive on our behalf, it is for us to walk as victors and conquer and not walk before Him as cowards, doubters or fearful – these nullify the conquests we ought to receive in Him. When the children of Israel were about to cross the Jordan in Deuteronomy 9: 1-6, God told them about the fearsome and undefeated giants in the land that He had given them as an inheritance. The land is theirs and anyone that is occupying it must leave, that is the command of God. Is the enemy struggling with you in your finances, peace, home, job or your academics, it has no stay permit there it must LEAVE! Do remember that in the Scripture above, it was God who drew the attention of the people to these giants as He drew your own attention by confrontations, dreams, word of knowledge and revelation to the giants facing you. Just as He told the people of Israel He is equally telling you not to be afraid but believe and receive His victory that He is handing over to you today. He says He has gone before you like a Consuming Fire to devastate and subdue your enemies, then you must enter the land and chase them out. The power for them to hurt you is taken away, however for this to be activated in your life; you must receive, believe and walk in this TRUTH! Whenever fear comes to remind you of this situation tell it that you already have the victory over it. God’s confidence is released unto you mightily in Jesus Christ name.  God bless you.

The Quarry Site Experience

Have you ever visited a quarry site and considered the process the rocks are subjected to before they become dressed stones to be used? If the stones could talk they will have a story to tell about their experiences.  As children of God we go through diverse experiences and we wonder if we will indeed survive them. Sometimes we wonder why our gracious and compassionate Father would allow such to befall us considering who we are in Him and what we are doing in His vineyard.  The Scripture that should readily come to our minds in such circumstances is God’s assurance when He said: “I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire and the flame will not burn you ” (Isaiah 43:2). This Scripture assures us that through the experiences of flames and waters, God is always by our side to see us through.  Thus, it is necessary for us to go through the...

But You Did Not Learn Christ In This Way

I remember meeting a man of God in his office after the Sunday Services in his Church. I, like many others that day needed a few minutes with him. I was there at the instruction of the LORD to deliver a message. As we were talking, one of his Church workers came in and gave him a note. His face lit up, and he was very excited. I saw that there were sets of numbers written. I thought the numbers represented those who gave their lives to Christ, because many came out during the Altar Call to give and rededicate their lives to the LORD Jesus Christ. No! Apparently, they represent the number of people in attendance at each of the three services with the corresponding money collections realised.         They were not concerned about the souls that came out hungry for God! I was saddened by their excitement. They were not excited about the souls that came into the Kingdom of God; rather, they were rejoicing about their egos, ranks and bank a...

...And His Name Was Nabal

We live in a world that has short-term memory. The memory life span of many is so short, that mistakes and circumstances that brought them sorrow are repeated without a thought to the fact that what they are doing they had done before with dire consequences. As a result of this attitude, many have grown more wilful towards the things of God. One of the signs of the end time, according to 2 Timothy 3, is people being ungrateful. Being ungrateful means not showing gratitude for help, gifts or kindness they received; a feeling of entitlement to whatever they think they have received.         Being ungrateful is a state of mind that believes that the good things that happen to them is deserving, and they do not see any reason to be thankful for them. So was the case of a man named Nabal (which means 'Fool') in the Bible. He was a harsh and evil man in his dealings, yet a very wealthy man in the region he lived in. From the account of his l...
