Don’t Be Silenced!



It’s a joy to know that all the vast eternal riches of God prepared for humanity even before creation is delivered to each soul simply through the preaching of the gospel. Scriptures declare that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation for those who will believe (Romans 1:16). Nothing on earth could be so priceless and yet so readily available. There is no greater hope given to the living that can compare to the hope of the gospel. It’s no wonder then why Heaven listens so closely whenever and wherever this truth is freshly told or simply retold: That God came into this world as a man, bore our sins on the cross, tasted death and hell for us that we may walk free from accusation and condemnation. For this cause the enemy seeks desperately to silence its proclamation. Just as no king will easily permit the capture of his subjects; likewise the kingdom of darkness will put up every form of resistance to thwart the release of its captives.

An example was shown in 2Timothy 3:8 of those who have positioned themselves to withstand God’s word for various reasons, either because of their mindset or demonic influences. The Scriptures mentioned the likes of Jannes and Jambres. They were described as “men of corrupt minds reprobates concerning the faith”. These men were greatly instrumental in the hardening of Pharaoh’s heart towards Moses and the children of Israel. They employed sorcery and various other subtle means to discredit the efficacy of God’s word, yet Moses refused to be silenced. He remained focused and boldly declared God’s truth to Pharaoh. In time his words prevailed and the foolishness of these men became evident.

Are you being opposed for the truth of God’s word which you live and declare around you? Are you surrounded by systems, policies or events positioned to intimidate and shut you up? God declared then and is declaring to you NOW, those that oppose you “shall proceed no further, for their folly shall be manifest to all men, as theirs also was” 2 Timothy 3:9. God indeed has his own methods of silencing the enemy on our behalf. Our role is to remain faithful no matter the odds! Moses’ faithfulness to the call opened the door for God to show Himself strong on behalf of the children of Israel. Friends, God is equally waiting to show Himself strong on your behalf because your testimonies both in word and deed have a direct impact on the eternal destinies of men: “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to show Himself strong for those whose hearts are completely His” 2Chronicles 16:9a.  Therefore we must stand confident in God’s ability to prevail on our behalf. Hold on to the truth, don’t sell or betray it. However, if you are feeling overwhelmed with this tactic of darkness to make you fall from your stability, then, draw strength and encouragement from this answered prayer: “Give us aid against the foe, for human help is worthless. With God we will perform valiantly; He will trample our foes” Psalm 60: 11-12. The grace to be faithful and to boldly declare God’s word to those around you is released to you in Jesus Christ name. As for those that oppose you, like Moses, ignore them; God has plans for them as He did with Jannes and Jambres. God bless you.

The Perverted Love Of St Valentine's Day

         We live in a world where those who suppress the truth have the loudest voices. They are more persuasive in their arguments because their arguments sound logical and well-reasoned. However, the fact that an argument is loud and logical does not necessarily mean it is the truth. At the same time, the fact that an argument is loud and logical does not mean it is of God. So many claim they do not care where it originates from, but they agree with and have bought into its message.
