If there is one Scripture that has caused so many wonderful
sons of God to stumble in our time it will be “therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord; do
not touch any unclean thing and I will welcome you” (2Corinthians 6:17). So
many find it hard to reconcile this Scripture with us loving our neighbor as
children of God; they equate loving their neighbor to mean condoning and tolerating
the evil perpetrated by their neighbor. Such are unable to walk in the Truth
and are quick to betray the Lord once their well-being is threatened. These, water
down the Scriptures by the way they live or masked who they are in Christ Jesus
in order not to offend their ‘neighbor’. They feel because they are being blessed by the Lord, He approves of them. God's desire is not only to bless us but to inhabit us so we would look like Him. Sadly, the people desire blessing rather than God inhabiting them. No wonder the land is in dire need of
a revival because evil has danced and is dancing around creating a strange
atmosphere called ‘political correctness’, leaving sons of God perplexed as to
what to do!
Jesus Christ coming to earth is not to create a certain form of
religion with no power. Christ came to introduce and to lead as many as would
believe in Him to worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for “there is salvation in no one else, for
there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved”
(Acts 4:12). For us to truly serve Him, devoid of the markings of the world, we
must not get entangled with the affairs of the world that has just one goal: To
rob men of their relationship with God so as to lead them to hell.
Unfortunately, so many teach and believe that the Church must come to a certain
‘form’ for the world to see. Thus, messages of prosperity, deliverance,
prophecies, healing and the likes have taken centre stage and taught to
heretical proportions to the detriment of the truth of God’s Word – He being
formed in us: “God wanted to make known
to those among the Gentiles the glorious wealth of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of
glory” (Colossians 1:27). This short sightedness has dragged the Church to
celebrate and commemorate things and occasions that carry a form of godliness.
Beloved, true, God called you, gave you a message; but the message is not to
lead the people and yourself to carry a form that negates Heaven. The whole
essence of the Lord coming, calling you and giving you a message is so that
Christ will be formed in you and through you be formed in others. Beloved, you
claim to know the Lord, does He know you? When you look at the mirror (God’s
Word), what do you see? Only blessings…? Don’t be confused, God will bless the
works you do in His name to a degree, but if it is NOT His will, He will not
inhabit them. No wonder so many marriages and lives may carry God’s blessings,
but He does not INHABIT them! Ishmael was blessed but God was with and in
Isaac. Ishmael represents the flesh though he lived in the house of Abraham,
but when he began to mock he that God is in, he had to be ejected (Galatians
4:21-31). Beloved, look around you…the things of the Spirit are being mocked daily
and unsuspecting and ignorant sons are joining this spirit in its mockery of
the Truth.
Just as it was with Abraham, it is time to eject the works of the
flesh so as to give attention to that which the Lord inhabits! We must be able,
especially as we see the DAY draw near, to distinguish the works that originate
in the flesh and separate from them so as to focus on the works borne out of the
Promise: “And what accord has Christ with
Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has
the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God
has said I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God and they
shall be My people” (2Corinthians 6:15-16). May the desire for the Lord to inhabit us daily continually burn in our hearts even as we await His return in Jesus Christ name.
God bless you!
