Do You Truly Believe?

God has called us to a life of purity. This call cannot be compromised nor can the standard be lowered by the Lord no matter what the Scientists are doing or saying. So many come to the Lord wishing to bear His name, follow and serve Him on their own terms. As a result they are unfulfilled, empty, false, falling and rising at the whim of the devil. The truth of the matter is that the natural state of a man is selfishness and until this state is put to death the man cannot live out his full potential in Christ. Friend, if truly you believe in God and has made Him your personal Lord and Savior then the time to remain standing has come. You cannot swing between two opinions: whether you should obey God completely or succumb to the temptations of the devil. Once you succumb to the devil as a Believer, something is very wrong with your inside. The Bible tells us that when we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord we are saved. Salvation like life starts from the inside before it manifests on the outside. The child’s life started as an egg fertilized by the father’s sperm in his mother’s womb. Thus, the starting point for every Believer in Christ is the inside of the man (heart). If we do not get this right it is a matter of time before it begins to show on the outside through struggles with and succumbing to sin. 1 Peter 4:1-6, tells us that we must live with the same resolve that Christ did and live the remainder of our lives no longer for human desires but for God’s will. The same account tells us that the world cannot understand this so they slander us continually. Friend, from that account, we are not supposed to live in the fleshly realm if we claim to have surrendered our lives to Christ; we are now meant to live in the spiritual realm. Why then are you still being enticed by sin, when the Bible clearly states in James 1:14 that "each person is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own evil desires"? You need to re-check to make sure that your salvation started from the inside out not the other way round. So many just ‘think’ they are born again because they are born into Christian homes, go to church, give offerings and pay their tithes, have good moral ideals or generally ‘good people’. All this counts for nothing if you do not have a personal one on one encounter with the Lord! Your success in life in all your endeavors is not based on your physical endowments, though these can take you some of the way, but the ultimate goal getter is what is inside of you: Christ our hope of Glory! Ask for grace on a daily basis to remain faithful to Him.

But You Did Not Learn Christ In This Way

I remember meeting a man of God in his office after the Sunday Services in his Church. I, like many others that day needed a few minutes with him. I was there at the instruction of the LORD to deliver a message. As we were talking, one of his Church workers came in and gave him a note. His face lit up, and he was very excited. I saw that there were sets of numbers written. I thought the numbers represented those who gave their lives to Christ, because many came out during the Altar Call to give and rededicate their lives to the LORD Jesus Christ. No! Apparently, they represent the number of people in attendance at each of the three services with the corresponding money collections realised.         They were not concerned about the souls that came out hungry for God! I was saddened by their excitement. They were not excited about the souls that came into the Kingdom of God; rather, they were rejoicing about their egos, ranks and bank a...

An Answer To Almighty God's Question

"So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.” Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me” (Isaiah 6:5-8).         As the Coming of the LORD draws ever closer, there is an increase in dryness, apathy and preoccupation with the world and its treasures in the hearts and minds of many children of God. Looking around our Nation (Nigeria), one would realise that things are not as they should be. The realities on the ground give the impression that the institutions that ought to regulate the lives of the citizen...

The Quarry Site Experience

Have you ever visited a quarry site and considered the process the rocks are subjected to before they become dressed stones to be used? If the stones could talk they will have a story to tell about their experiences.  As children of God we go through diverse experiences and we wonder if we will indeed survive them. Sometimes we wonder why our gracious and compassionate Father would allow such to befall us considering who we are in Him and what we are doing in His vineyard.  The Scripture that should readily come to our minds in such circumstances is God’s assurance when He said: “I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire and the flame will not burn you ” (Isaiah 43:2). This Scripture assures us that through the experiences of flames and waters, God is always by our side to see us through.  Thus, it is necessary for us to go through the...
