Radical Faith: Challenge It And It Will Change!

Truthfully? We are continually faced with impossible situations that make us want to doubt if God really cares for us. So many have become complacent in their walk with God and have accepted every happening to and around them as the will of God even when it goes against God’s promises for them. To demonstrate how we are to function in Christ, the Lord said in Mark 11:22-24 “… ‘Have faith in God'. I assure you: if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore, I tell you, all the things you pray and ask for – believe that you have received them and you will have them.”   Maybe you had faced rejection after rejection through no fault of yours, people die young in your family, impossible for any member of your family to stay married, barrenness, sickness, addictions, unsuccessful ventures; the time has come to take your stand for yourself or a loved o

Radical Faith

Have you ever been told you were not good enough for a particular thing you sought? Or been told piously that you are going through what you are going through because it is not yet time for you to have what you seek? When we meet with such daunting remarks God does not expect us to agree with those that are saying it or give in to the conditions that make it impossible to attain what we seek. So many wonderful children of God did not live in the fullness of the power of God because they believed that ‘by and by’ what they seek of the Lord will come to pass. As a result so many died of sicknesses they ought not to have died from or remained in conditions they should have overcome. The Bible tells us that “Now faith is…” not “Now faith will be…” The Bible equally states in Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are protected .” The righteous is ‘any man’ that has truly made the Lord Jesus Christ his personal Lord and Savior. If you are one, yo

Stand And Be Alert!

One thing that is becoming increasingly clear as the coming of Christ draws ever closer is the urgency in the Heart of God that His sons will make up their minds to stand and be alert: spiritually sensitive to the happenings around them and taking their stand. Friend, this times are not times to react emotionally to everything that comes our way, we must seek to know the heart and mind of God concerning every issue. The children of Israel in Judges 5:14-18 were in a state of war and each tribe was to respond accordingly as it concerned all the tribes. Unfortunately, some of the tribes did not walk with God to know what they should do. The Bible says Reuben was indecisive because they were distracted by things that ought not to distract them; thus their valiant men stayed at home when they should have been at war. Gilead played safe across the Jordan since the war was far away. Gilead forgot that the war will extend to his land if the victory goes to the enemy. Dan went sailing pretendi

The Steward – Can You Be Trusted?

So many profess to be sons of God, speak ‘christianese’, go to places where Christians go but their attitude is questionable and makes unbelievers blaspheme the name of the Lord. Jesus Christ said something that we ought to ponder on and should act as a check on us. The Bible says in John 2:23-24 “While He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many trusted in His name when they saw the signs He was doing. Jesus, however would not entrust Himself to them since He knew them all…” This is curios because we believe that when men see the signs and believe they should automatically become stewards that are responsible but that were not the case here. The fact that you are born again child of God does not qualify you to be successful in some stations in life unless you are faithful and wise in those stations. It does not matter what your position is in the Body of Christ or how long you have known the Lord; the question is since you have believed, can God trust you? Can God trust you for

The Faithful Steward 2

We are hopeful and looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us this year if He tarries. It is sadly true however, that quite a lot will not walk into the victorious breakthroughs that the Lord has planned for them this year. Not because God did not answer; in fact He answered and made provisions for them but it requires them working and walking in to get it. When the Lord made provisions of manna and quail in the wilderness, the people had to go out of their tents to gather them. It is not in the amount or how loud our ‘amen’ is but we must rise up and back it with action. You cannot be searching for a job - the Lord had promised you one - and you refuse to leave your room; or the Lord had promised you a College admission this year and you refuse to write examinations that will ensure you a spot in College. When we refuse to stand up to the responsibilities we have been assigned on earth whether we are students, workers, unemployed, or homemakers, whatever the sphere we find o

The Faithful Steward 1

For everyone that is born of God, there is an expectation of Heaven on such lives. Each one of us has been given the opportunity, time and means to live for Christ by word and deed. This call of God over our lives is for service as stewards over the earth. A steward, whose job or responsibility is to provide service for a particular people or take care of a particular place on behalf of the Master. In this New Year, Friend, the Lord forbids us to be idle. It is expected of us as stewards to be faithful in our duties which is our responsibility. In Luke 19:12-27, we were told of a certain noble man who was going on a journey to a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. Verse 13 says “And he called his ten servants and delivered them 10 pounds and said unto them, Occupy till I come.” One thing you will see clearly from this scripture is ‘responsibility’ – a call to serve. We could say here that this responsibility is our response to the abilities we have been given. B

How Prepared Are You?

‘Jesus Christ is coming back soon’ has become a refrain and so many even amongst children of God have seen it as ‘some’ event that will happen in the not so clear distant future. They believe they have ample time to enjoy the ‘delights’ of this world by living and acting as they please. As a result, so many are not prepared to receive Him if He shows up NOW! Apostle Peter in 2 Peter 3:1-7 reminds us that we should not listen to the scoffers that will appear in the last days following their own lusts saying ‘where is the promise of His coming?’ These scoffers opine that since the days of the fathers of old all things have been going on as before. Apostle Peter was not writing about his time but about the times we are in, for indeed we are in the last days – take a look around you! Many scoffers have arisen in our time teaching principles that turn the hearts of men away from the impending return of Jesus Christ. One thing you must understand is that the total destruction that happened y

Preaching It and Living It!

Do you know that when the Lord gives you a word to share the first thing He wants you to do is receive it in, eat it and when you are ready, give it out? Only then will it flow out like springs of living water from your belly. When one doesn’t eat and assimilate the message first, the waters that flow from such is dead and the people become milk babies and powerless children of God. In Ezekiel 3:1-4 we see the Lord tell Ezekiel to eat the scroll that He was giving him and then go and speak to the people of Israel. The Bible says he ate it and it filled his stomach. If we look at the scripture again especially from chapter 2 verse 8, the instruction to eat the scroll came twice. It probably did not taste nice and he might have decided to abandon it. However, he ate it and testified that it tasted like honey in his mouth. Only after this was he able to go and preach the message to the people. The mandate of God to Ezekiel was to speak the words to them whether they listen or not, but he

In Times Like This…

Indeed we are in trying times especially those living in troubled regions of the world. On the other hand, which part of the world is actually not troubled at this time, either economically, politically or spiritually? These are the times that those that profess to be children of God will be shown. If you have not already, friend, the time to live what you had believed and professed about Christ over the years have come.   God said in Malachi 3:18 –“So you will again see the difference between one who serves God and who does not serve Him.” Indeed this is the times that it will be shown. Consider this: it is as if the whole world has gone topsy-turvy especially in our part of the world what with increasing level of poverty and unpopular policies made by Government. The question we must then ask ourselves as sons of the Most High God is what should we do in the prevailing circumstances? What exactly is our Lord Jesus Christ saying? Bearing in mind that we are not called to be timid or c

Welcome…

We bless the name of the Lord for taking us into the year 2012. If not for His mercies the glorious testimonies we recorded in the year 2011 would have been different. Year 2012 is a year we have never witnessed nor walked in before and so we need His guidance to take us through the year and beyond if He tarries. The politicians of the world have told us to buckle up for a rough ride. The economic and political indices all over the world are not looking promising. There is a gradual downturn in the belief system of the people and things that we once took for granted as right are spiraling out of control. These happenings are not strange, as children of God the Bible makes it clear that as the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ draws nearer, the world will continue to undergo pains like a woman seized with labor pains. One thing the Lord is asking us to do this year is to seek His perfect will and walk in it if we are going to live successful lives this year. Not our own will or His permis
