Have you ever been told you were not good enough for a particular thing you sought? Or been told piously that you are going through what you are going through because it is not yet time for you to have what you seek? When we meet with such daunting remarks God does not expect us to agree with those that are saying it or give in to the conditions that make it impossible to attain what we seek. So many wonderful children of God did not live in the fullness of the power of God because they believed that ‘by and by’ what they seek of the Lord will come to pass. As a result so many died of sicknesses they ought not to have died from or remained in conditions they should have overcome. The Bible tells us that “Now faith is…” not “Now faith will be…” The Bible equally states in Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are protected.” The righteous is ‘any man’ that has truly made the Lord Jesus Christ his personal Lord and Savior. If you are one, you cannot afford to run this race hesitantly or doubting every turn or you will not receive anything from the Lord. It then follows that you don't have to listen to those that say it is impossible for you to get out of the situation you are in. I can imagine the state of confusion that the men carrying the paralytic on a stretcher in Mark 2:1-12 found themselves. The Bible says the room Christ was in was packed full with people, even the corridors were filled with people that were listening to His message. I am very sure that the people around them would have told them to take it easy as they were not the only ones with such predicament. You might argue that the people were selfish and uncaring; at least when they saw these men with a stretcher their conscience should have told them to make room for them to go in seeing the dire situation they were in. No one cared! Friend, same is happening in the spiritual realm. Everyone comes to the throne of Mercy to receive help, if you are still waiting for someone or some folks to ‘pray for you’ whilst you go about your business you are going to be in for a rude shock. Learn a lesson from the 4 men that carried the paralytic. The Bible says when they could not get through the door they took an unlikely route. They broke through the roof and lowered the stretcher right in front of Christ. How did they know the position He was seated in the room? Friend, the time to break the roof of every limitation and tender our requests at the Feet of the Master has come! The Master was so impressed with their faith that He did not only heal the man, He forgave his sins. We have entered a season of unprecedented evil (physical and spiritual) perpetrated against man by agents of darkness. It then follows that unprecedented grace has been released unto us to go further in our intercessions with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is time to break the roof of all protocols with our prayers and supplications. One sure thing is that we will land directly at His feet and He will bless us more than we requested for. God bless you.
Have you ever visited a quarry site and considered the process the rocks are subjected to before they become dressed stones to be used? If the stones could talk they will have a story to tell about their experiences. As children of God we go through diverse experiences and we wonder if we will indeed survive them. Sometimes we wonder why our gracious and compassionate Father would allow such to befall us considering who we are in Him and what we are doing in His vineyard. The Scripture that should readily come to our minds in such circumstances is God’s assurance when He said: “I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire and the flame will not burn you ” (Isaiah 43:2). This Scripture assures us that through the experiences of flames and waters, God is always by our side to see us through. Thus, it is necessary for us to go through the...
