In Times Like This…

Indeed we are in trying times especially those living in troubled regions of the world. On the other hand, which part of the world is actually not troubled at this time, either economically, politically or spiritually? These are the times that those that profess to be children of God will be shown. If you have not already, friend, the time to live what you had believed and professed about Christ over the years have come.  God said in Malachi 3:18 –“So you will again see the difference between one who serves God and who does not serve Him.” Indeed this is the times that it will be shown. Consider this: it is as if the whole world has gone topsy-turvy especially in our part of the world what with increasing level of poverty and unpopular policies made by Government. The question we must then ask ourselves as sons of the Most High God is what should we do in the prevailing circumstances? What exactly is our Lord Jesus Christ saying? Bearing in mind that we are not called to be timid or cowardly but we have been given the Spirit of boldness and our Father is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah! So many will argue that we should look at the former indices and the prevailing circumstances and go with our gut instincts. It sounds logical but did not the Lord tell us in Habakkuk 2:4b that the just shall live by faith and in Romans 8:14 that those led by the Spirit of God are sons of God, equally in Isaiah 8:12-13 “Do not say, ‘A conspiracy’ concerning all that this people call a conspiracy. Nor be afraid of their threats nor be troubled. The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow. Let Him be your fear and let Him be your dread.”?  If indeed, we believe these Scriptures why then are we walking by the things we can see feel and hear? Have we stopped to consider that this might just be a wakeup call for those that profess to be sons of God to step up to the occasion? We cannot lose sight of what is important at this stage. The whole year by His grace is before us and we must take on the position God wants us to take in order to whether the storms successful. Barely has the year started especially in our clime that the people that ought to be watchmen have started losing their footing and taking their thoughts off God. The Bible clearly tells us that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. If we must do an overview, how exactly did you enter this year? So many in Nigeria could not attend Church Night vigils on the 31st of December 2011 because of the threats from the pit of hell of being killed. As a result we became a laughing stock to the kingdom of darkness. If we believe in an Order, a Government that is different from the physical one, one may then ask who gave or is giving the directives we are currently pursuing. The Bible says concerning Daniel and his 3 Hebrew friends that they made up their minds not to be defiled by the food that was being served from the king’s table. Friend, on a daily basis, food is being served from the king of this world’s table, how have we being reacting to it? No matter how noble the fight, you cannot fight the devil using his weapons because you cannot wield it. The weapons we have and can wield are mighty in God in pulling down strongholds, arguments and anything that exalts itself above the knowledge of our God! These weapons are listed in Ephesians 6:10-18 which can only be successfully wielded on our knees – humbly submitting to God, the Creator and Judge of the heavens and the earth! When Herod, Nebuchadnezzar, Nimrod and their likes in our present time thought they were the all powerful kings, God cut them to size in the most embarrassing and humiliating way possible. Remember, God resists and will humiliate the proud but gives grace to the humble. The devil knows that when we enter this mode he is in trouble, thus he has and is causing all kinds of distractions so we cannot employ this weapon to the fullest. We cannot afford to lose focus, but MUST focus exactly on what God is saying and we will come out victorious in Jesus Christ Name. God bless you.

You Are What Matters Most To Jesus Christ

"When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; Walk [habitually] before Me [with integrity, knowing that you are always in My presence], and be blameless and complete [in obedience to Me]" (Genesis 17:1, AMP).        A while back, I overheard a conversation between two young men; both were wondering how a person can be and remain holy in a world that daily encourages you to exhibit and enjoy every self-indulgent pleasure one desires. Of course, they knew the Scripture in Psalm 119:9-11, which describes how a young man can keep his way pure, but they feel it is increasingly becoming difficult to discern the way of the Lord from the world system. To them, many Pastors and children of God have been won over by the kingdom of darkness to subvert the principles of God as written in the Bible.           They were not wrong, in light of some of the teaching coming from the pulpits! The above ...

Finding True Love

From the beginning of time, God Almighty has sought various means of communicating His thoughts and desires to humanity. Through the very things He has created around us, He clearly reveals His divine nature and our predestined purposes as the object of His love to those who care enough to pay attention.  His goal has always been to set men free from all that limits them from experiencing an abundant life. There is no doubt that the present life as we know it, with all its hurts, pains and heartbreak was never meant to be this way; indeed the enemy has done this.         Friends, if He created the earth with hidden and precious treasures, then how much more you? The enemy, on the other hand, has worked overtime to create things that bind, blind, limit, and ultimately stop us from fulfilling our God-given destinies. His most successful strategies are those which are subtle and appeal to our fleshly desires, just as...

The Perverted Love Of St Valentine's Day

We live in a world where those who suppress the truth have the loudest voices. They are more persuasive in their arguments because their arguments sound logical and well-reasoned. However, the fact that an argument is loud and logical does not necessarily mean it is the truth. At the same time, the fact that an argument is loud and logical does not mean it is of God. So many claim they do not care where it originates from, but they agree with and have bought into its message. If that is your stance, then you need to hear this because what you believe and have bought into is a lie. Remember, ignorance is not bliss but a dangerous position to occupy as many ‘ignorants’ abound in hell!        The argument for celebrating St. Valentine's Day is loud and sounds logical but it is not the truth, nor is it of God! It is not of God because the love that Jesus Christ portrays carries within it the responsibility of self-sacrifice whilst that o...
