Let Your Mind Stay On Him

I have always been fascinated with the story of Joseph because it depicts clearly our journey with Jesus Christ in a dark world where we must shine as stars. One can imagine the feelings of betrayal when Joseph was sold into slavery by his own brothers. What manner of jealousy possessed his brothers that they could contemplate killing him? However, God stepped into the situation by ensuring that he was sold instead of being killed. Some might be wondering why didn’t God make them change their minds instead because being sold is as good as dead. True, but the Bible tells us: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29: 11-13). God had a plan for Joseph! Joseph succeeded because he accessed the heart of God by seeking Him diligently. You might be going through a situation that looks dire, God says not to worry He has a plan for you but for you to enter into the plan, your mind and heart must remain on Him: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because He trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3). Using the example of Joseph, despite all he went through he did not allow his heart and mind to stray from God. He could have strayed after all he was a teenager in a foreign land with no one watching. But he didn’t! He remained steadfast to his faith and the conviction that the dreams he had been shown several years back will come to pass. In our journey with the Lord, He shows us the end result but He keeps the methodology of achieving it to Himself. Only those that seek Him with all their heart does He reveal it to. No wonder so many do not fulfill the dreams they had because they strayed from He that has the game plan. You have to understand that the dream you had was not engineered by you, thus it is imperative to return to the Dream Giver to show you how to realize it. Verse 12 and 13 clearly states that when we call upon Him, pray and seek Him with all our heart we will find Him because He will hear us. Let us look forward and be rest assured that every word He spoke concerning us will come to pass and every dream realized only on the condition that our hearts and minds stay on Him. God bless you.

The Quarry Site Experience

Have you ever visited a quarry site and considered the process the rocks are subjected to before they become dressed stones to be used? If the stones could talk they will have a story to tell about their experiences.  As children of God we go through diverse experiences and we wonder if we will indeed survive them. Sometimes we wonder why our gracious and compassionate Father would allow such to befall us considering who we are in Him and what we are doing in His vineyard.  The Scripture that should readily come to our minds in such circumstances is God’s assurance when He said: “I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire and the flame will not burn you ” (Isaiah 43:2). This Scripture assures us that through the experiences of flames and waters, God is always by our side to see us through.  Thus, it is necessary for us to go through the...

Daily Walk With The LORD

As we await the imminent return of the LORD Jesus Christ, we enter a time of great exposure and blessing. All that had been hidden will be revealed, all that had been a lie will be exposed, and those who can discern these things and make adjustments to their lives will be greatly blessed in this time!        As the Church Age draws to a close, we see and understand the Scriptures more clearly by the Help of the Holy Spirit, as we see Scriptures literary play out before our eyes. These are the times we must strengthen our resolve to serve Him more dearly and follow Him more closely. Failure to do this is to fall into all manner of errors orchestrated by the devil through his agents to derail as many from the path of righteousness and eternal life in Christ Jesus.         Many strange but carefully crafted teachings are flooding the pulpits and airwaves to distract, confuse and steal the hearts of children of God from...

...And His Name Was Nabal

We live in a world that has short-term memory. The memory life span of many is so short, that mistakes and circumstances that brought them sorrow are repeated without a thought to the fact that what they are doing they had done before with dire consequences. As a result of this attitude, many have grown more wilful towards the things of God. One of the signs of the end time, according to 2 Timothy 3, is people being ungrateful. Being ungrateful means not showing gratitude for help, gifts or kindness they received; a feeling of entitlement to whatever they think they have received.         Being ungrateful is a state of mind that believes that the good things that happen to them is deserving, and they do not see any reason to be thankful for them. So was the case of a man named Nabal (which means 'Fool') in the Bible. He was a harsh and evil man in his dealings, yet a very wealthy man in the region he lived in. From the account of his l...
