...And His Name Was Nabal

We live in a world that has short-term memory. The memory life span of many is so short, that mistakes and circumstances that brought them sorrow are repeated without a thought to the fact that what they are doing they had done before with dire consequences. As a result of this attitude, many have grown more wilful towards the things of God. One of the signs of the end time, according to 2 Timothy 3, is people being ungrateful. Being ungrateful means not showing gratitude for help, gifts or kindness they received; a feeling of entitlement to whatever they think they have received.         Being ungrateful is a state of mind that believes that the good things that happen to them is deserving, and they do not see any reason to be thankful for them. So was the case of a man named Nabal (which means 'Fool') in the Bible. He was a harsh and evil man in his dealings, yet a very wealthy man in the region he lived in. From the account of his l...

The Journey Of A True Disciple

These indeed are stressful times, especially for a Disciple who intends to live in the purity of God's Word. The journey of a Christian is often marked by wilderness seasons and life’s storms—challenging times that test, train, and ultimately transform the Christian into a true Disciple of Christ. Throughout Scripture, these experiences are not seen as punishments but as divine opportunities to grow in faith, deepen trust, and draw closer to God. When one is going through these experiences, it is likened to a wilderness experience, filled with disappointments, sometimes betrayal, lack and the like.         In this guise, the wilderness experience is not merely a barren or lonely place; it is a sacred space where God refines His children. It is in the wilderness that dependence on God is forged, and distractions are stripped away. The children of Israel journeyed through the wilderness experience. The voice of John the Baptist rang out ...

Do An Audit Of Your Heart

I was in a gathering some time ago, and I was opportune to sit at a table where everyone on that table were true disciples of Jesus Christ. We were about ten in number. We had an amazing fellowship, as we ignored the happenings and going on around us. The fellowship was truly uplifting. But one thing we all agreed on was the fervour we all had at the onset of coming to the LORD; many on the table are now struggling to walk in. The beauty about the fellowship was no one tried to pretend to be more than they were, and no one was judging or looking down on the one who seemed to be struggling in his faith amongst us. It was truly a refreshing time, as we prayed together and we strongly believe that the faith of those that were waning had been restored back to the LORD. This was a blessing!         There are so many children of God that sincerely love the LORD in their living and service, but the fire is no longer there: "‘I know your deeds...

The Here And There Christian

"As the king passed by, the prophet called out to the king and said, “Your servant went out into the middle of the battle, and behold, a man turned aside and brought a man to me and said, ‘Guard this man; if for any reason he is missing, then your life shall be required for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.’ But while your servant was busy here and there, he [escaped and] was gone.” And the king of Israel said to him, “Such is your own judgment (verdict); you have determined it” (1 Kings 20:39-40, AMP).        The news and happenings around the world indicate to a child of God that these are difficult times that are hard to bear and hard to live with. In fact, the more the Word of God spreads, the more evil and dangerous we see the world. The terrifying part is the more the Church grows, the more we see the 'increase' of the charlatans masquerading as teachers of God's Word. These carry and teach dangerous teachings designed to draw the hearts of t...

Daily Walk With The LORD

As we await the imminent return of the LORD Jesus Christ, we enter a time of great exposure and blessing. All that had been hidden will be revealed, all that had been a lie will be exposed, and those who can discern these things and make adjustments to their lives will be greatly blessed in this time!        As the Church Age draws to a close, we see and understand the Scriptures more clearly by the Help of the Holy Spirit, as we see Scriptures literary play out before our eyes. These are the times we must strengthen our resolve to serve Him more dearly and follow Him more closely. Failure to do this is to fall into all manner of errors orchestrated by the devil through his agents to derail as many from the path of righteousness and eternal life in Christ Jesus.         Many strange but carefully crafted teachings are flooding the pulpits and airwaves to distract, confuse and steal the hearts of children of God from...
